Hello To All,

Would like to wish everyone a healthy and prosperous holidays full of love and musica!!
Wanted to update everyone as I have been working hard finishing "Ananésworld", which you may know has been signed to Tommy Boy Records!!!  Since the signing we (Louie Vega & myself) have been busy creating incredible new music for the album!
So, I have decided to close the tracklist, since the album has new fabulous music for you all to enjoy.  But, I did leave a few of my favorite tracks that can listen to, until we are ready to release Ananésworld" in 2008.

ELLE the lyrics to “Elle”, which means “she”, I wrote in my native language from Cape Verde.  When I first heard the track this is what came to mind immediately, to write a spoken word about a woman.  I wanted to express the woman that I am, along with every woman in the world.  We are mothers, daughters, sisters and friends with many common qualities, strengths and weakness’.  One line from the song says, “She is a woman, with a sweet voice, her smile illuminates, a goddess’ of love”.

LET ME LOVE YOU:  I first heard this song when I was about 7-8 years old when I had first arrived to America.  It played at every party I went to as a child with my parents and I can remember dancing to this with my dad.  Flash forward some years, I asked Kenny to fill my Ipod with music.  As I scrolled and listened to my new music library of about 4,000 songs, there it was.  I heard it again and thought how interesting it would be to remake this song.  When I mentioned it to Louie as we were putting things together for the album, he said why not give it a shot. He asked me what I thought about having Mr. V on it, and the rest is history.
